Yes. The medication is included in your monthly membership fee. You must meet with your provider once a month for medical management. Your membership also includes a monthly check in with a health coach, just another way we strive to ensure you reach and sustain your weight loss goals
Yes, all medications are made in an FDA-registered compounding pharmacy that uses the highest quality ingredients under FDA regulations.
You may be prescribed a generic compounded medication not associated with the Novo NordiskTM or Eli LillyTM companies or the brand-name medications Wegovy®, Ozempic®, or Mounjaro®.
GLP-1 medications are clinically tested, stimulant-free, and non-habit-forming. Side effects of this class of medications are mainly gastrointestinal. Those who experience side effects report queasiness or nausea, with a very small percentage reporting vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation. These side effects improve as the body gets accustomed to the medicine. The compounded formulary in our program contains B Vitamins to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.

Your weight management prescription GLP-1 medication will be shipped to your home address on file. Please review our service area/locations before joining to make sure we service residents in your state. To have the prescription routed to your preferred pharmacy (urgent care visits only), please have the complete address and phone number available to provide during your visit. Your prescription is then electronically transmitted to your pharmacy of choice. Please note that Symbios Health Connect cannot change or edit any incorrect information on the prescription.
No. All Symbios Health Connect programs are designed month-to-month, with the option to cancel anytime if unsatisfied by providing a 30-day advance notice. Please note that the cost of medication us not refundable.
Not at this time. We utilize the direct primary care model This fee structure can enable providers to spend more time with their patients, both in face-to-face visits/video, and through telephonic or electronic communications since they are not bound by insurance reimbursement restrictions.
Symbios Health Connect is a Virtual Clinic, therefore we do not offer vaccines to our members. We recommend getting vaccines and immunizations at your local pharmacy.
Our virtual care visits are currently available for adults and children 18 months and older. Mental health patients must be 18 years or older. Weight management patients must be over the age of 18 as well. Other age restrictions may apply for certain services and specific states.
Virtual care cannot be used for all medical issues, such as when you can only be assessed by a provider in person or in a medical emergency, such as when you suspect a broken bone or have been wounded and might need stitches or surgery. ​ Get emergency medical care by calling 911. During a pediatric consultation, clinicians can write notes for your children to return to, or be dismissed from, school, activities, camp, and more, if needed.
During an adult consultation, our clinicians can only provide a note stating the date when a patient was seen and that a treatment plan/care was established.
